Oso Verde Farms

Unified in their passion for growing cannabis, Belizia and Kevin took a leap and purchased Oso Verde’s two locations that together span nearly 50 acres. Belizia’s experience in cannabis spans back to 2013 during which time she managed a cannabis farm and shortly thereafter started Symbys, a wholesale distribution company in the heart of ground zero, Humboldt County. Kevin, born and raised in Humboldt County has a background in property development and has long been in the Cannabis industry working alongside growers to help establish their farms. After falling in love with the Applegate Valley in 2016, and maintaining dual residence through 2019, the beauty of Oregon as well as it’s accessibility to resources and employment, won Belizia and Kevin over in 2020. Around the same time, they were presented with the opportunity to purchase Oso Verde and worked closely with the original owners to facilitate the transfer of ownership. They loved the fact it was minority owned which will stay true with new ownership, and the farms staff have continued to grow together since the transition. As they continue to strengthen their relationship with their new farm family and educate their staff and customers about the power of cannabis, the new owners of Oso Verde enjoy the beauty of their new home and the passion and resilience of the cannabis community.
